Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

This Policy explains how Kanha Ji Enterprises (“SellEngine”, “we”, or “us”) handles personal data when sellers, team members, and storefront customers use SellEngine.

1. Data we collect

We collect account details such as name, email, phone number, store details, login and security records, plan and payment-reference information, support communications, and product usage information. Sellers may add customer names, phone numbers, addresses, order details, payment proof, and fulfilment information.

2. Why we process data

We process data to create and secure accounts, provide requested commerce features, process and verify service payments, operate storefront checkout, support users, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain records, comply with law, and improve reliability. Where consent is the lawful basis, it can be withdrawn as described below.

3. Seller and customer roles

For customer data entered by a seller or collected through that seller’s storefront, the seller determines the commercial purpose and must provide its own customer privacy notice. SellEngine processes that data to provide the service and follows lawful, documented instructions from the seller.

4. Sharing and processors

We share only the data needed with infrastructure, database, storage, email, shipping, communications, security, analytics, and support providers used to operate SellEngine. We may also disclose data when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal data.

5. Storage and international processing

Data may be processed where our service providers operate, subject to contractual, technical, and legal safeguards and any applicable Indian transfer restrictions. Current infrastructure locations and material subprocessors can be requested using the contact below.

6. Retention

We retain data while an account is active and afterward only as reasonably required for service continuity, legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and backups. Retention varies by data type and applicable law. We securely delete or anonymize data when it is no longer required.

7. Security

We use access controls, tenant-level authorization, encryption in transit, restricted administrative credentials, backups, logging, and vulnerability-management practices. No online system is risk-free, so users must also protect credentials and promptly report suspected compromise.

8. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction, updating, or erasure of your personal data; withdraw consent; nominate another person to exercise rights; and raise a grievance. We may verify your identity before completing a request. Storefront customers should first contact the seller whose store collected their data; they may also contact us for assistance.

9. Children

SellEngine seller accounts are not intended for anyone under 18. Sellers must not use the service to process a child’s personal data without meeting applicable consent and verification requirements.

10. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage for authentication, security, preferences, and session continuity. These are required for signed-in features. Any optional analytics or marketing technology will be described and, where required, offered with a choice.

11. Contact and grievance process

Send privacy requests to [email protected]. The contact person for privacy questions and Grievance Officer is Rinku, reachable at that email or +91 89309 28518. We aim to acknowledge grievances promptly and respond within applicable legal timelines.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy as the service or law changes. Material changes will be communicated through the service or account contact details before they take effect where required.
